Triglyceride of behenic (C22) acid

Description

CAS No.: 18641-57-1

Performance

Tribehenin is composed of glycerin and behenic acid, a naturally occurring long-chain fatty acid.Tribehenin is a triglyceride derived from behenic acid (C22). It is a very soft, non-crystalline wax that can be used to modify the properties of other waxes by softening their structure and reducing crystallinity and rigidity. It has a melting point of 61-62 °C (141.8-144 °F).

Benefits:

  1. Enhances gloss in stick formulations, improves product pay-off, and ensures a smooth application with a pleasant feel.
  2. It is particularly valuable in formulating anhydrous systems like lip balms and soft, solid antiperspirants
  3. Can also serve as a suspending and thickening agent.

Applications: Stick products, deodorants, lip balms, pomades, foundations, creams, and lotions.

Use:  Add to the hot oil phase of the formulation until melted (melting point 61-62 °C (141.8-144 °F). Typical use level: 1-10%. For external use only.

Beheneth-25

CAS No.: 26636-40-8 Categories: Non-ionic oil-in-water O/W emulsifier, Cosmetic-ingredient Performance and Applications:  Beheneth-25 is a polyethylene glycol ether of behenyl alcohol and a synthetic copolymer made from the ester of methacrylic acid and behenyl alcohol, along with one or more monomers of acrylic acid or methacrylic acid. It serves as a texture enhancer and thickening agent in skincare and hair care products, providing aesthetic and sensory benefits by delivering a soft, smooth feel. In skincare, Beheneth-25 helps achieve a smooth skin texture, while in hair care, it aids in conditioning and detangling. Beheneth-25 is a non-ionic emulsifier used to produce oil-in-water (O/W) cosmetic emulsions. It is suitable for use in alcohol and glycol-based formulations, clear shampoos, shower gels, and two-component hair dye systems (such as hair dye developers and perm neutralizers). As an anionic associative rheology modifier and stabilizer, it provides characteristics like a soft, non-greasy, non-sticky feel and is versatile for various formulations, including gels, emulsions, and clear solutions. Its primary role as an emulsifier is to facilitate the formation of emulsions by combining the water and oil phases. Examples of cosmetic emulsions include creams and lotions. Additionally, as a rheology modifier, Beheneth-25 affects the consistency of cosmetic products by increasing their viscosity. Use of Beheneth-25: Provides consistency and suspending properties. Offers the highest level of transparency among polymers. Suspension capacity is relatively low. Commonly used in hair styling products, particularly hair gels, to enhance consistency. Can be mixed with other animals to achieve various looks. Functions as a viscosity regulator and emulsion stabilizer.  Industry Applications: Primarily used in cosmetics. Applications of Beheneth-25: Bath, shower, and soap products After-sun care Body care Eye contour treatments Face and neck skincare Rinse-off hair conditioners Shampoos Styling products Sun protection products

Potassium Cetyl Phosphate

CAS No.:17026-85-6 Shelf life & Storage: 2 years by stored at a cool, dry, and ventilated place. Performance: Potassium Cetyl Phosphate is a potassium salt of a complex mixture of esters of phosphoricacid and cetyl alcohol. Functions as a solid, anionic emulsifier and co-emulsifier for oil-in-water systems, providing strong skin affinity. Potassium cetyl phosphate is primarily used as a cleansing agent, foaming agent, and thickening agent in products such as body washes, bath liquids, shampoos, shaving creams, body lotions, and hand creams. Additionally, it serves as a solubility enhancer in the formulation of medical cosmetics, improving the solubility of pharmaceutical ingredients and fragrances. Applications: Used in skincare cream, sunscreen, and other products, etc. Use: The recommended usage level is 1.0–5.0%.For external use only.

Steareth-2

Trade Name:OILREE®MY92-B INCI Name:  Steareth-2 Categories: O/W (oil-in-water) Emulsifier, Cosmetic Ingredients Performance    Steareth ingredients (Steareth-2, Steareth-4, Steareth-6, Steareth-7, Steareth-10, Steareth-11, Steareth-13, Steareth-15, Steareth-20) are polyethylene glycol ethers of stearic acid and are waxy compounds When used in cosmetics and personal care products, Steareth ingredients reduce the intermolecular forces between liquid molecules, enabling the formation of an emulsion. Without an ingredient like Steareth, the components of some personal care products may separate, much like the separation of water and oil.   Applications: OILREE®MY92-B (STEARETH-2) and OILREE®MY972 (STEARETH-21) are a pair of emulsifiers that form a stable O/W emulsion system    In cosmetics and personal care products, they are used in the formulation of personal hygiene products, deodorants, sunscreens, fragrances, as well as skin, eye, and hair care products. Use: Classic water-in-oil emulsifiers, when combined, can be used to formulate emulsions that are resistant to ions, acids, and alkalis with a delicate appearance. Recommended dosage: 1-5%. For external use only.

PEG-7 Glyceryl Cocoate

CAS No.: 68201-46-7 Performance : This synthetic polymer is based on PEG (polyethylene glycol) and fatty acids derived from coconut oil.HLB value 11-13 (gives oil-in-water emulsions). A multifunctional agent with excellent emulsifying, emollient, refatting, and thickening properties. It is highly effective as a surfactant and foam booster and provides a conditioning effect for soft and smooth skin. Applications: Widely applicable, particularly in liquid soaps, lotions, body washes, shower gels, hair shampoos, facial cleansers, bubble baths, and decorative cosmetics. Use: Can be incorporated directly into formulas at a recommended dosage of 1-10%. For external use only.
